Alan Desmond

Alan Desmond is an Associate Professor at Leicester Law School, where he has worked since September 2016. He is editor of the Journal of Immigration, Asylum, and Nationality Law and has published widely on the protection of migrants’ rights in the international human rights law system. Before entering legal academia, Alan worked as a freelance print and broadcast journalist in Poland and wrote a number of award-winning Irish language books.
