About the event
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that aims to create machines capable of performing tasks that would normally require human intelligence. It works by using algorithms to analyse data, learn from it, and make decisions. AI is increasingly being used in various fields from healthcare to policing to help facilitate and sometimes make complex decisions on behalf of humans.
The goal of this fireside conversation is to understand firstly how AI makes decisions, but also to go further and ask how AI deals with the more complex moral decisions. Does AI employ a set of ethical values or moral framework and if so which one?
Vichaar Manthan interrogates ideas using the moral lens of Dharma, and thus in this fireside conversation we hope to touch the surface of the question: can Dharma be an effective framework to implement into the AI decision making algorithms.
